About Miranda Jane, MA, LPC, LCMHC
Welcome! I’m Miranda, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a late-diagnosed Autistic ADHDer, and I use Somatic Experiencing and Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy to help people navigate the complexities of chronic pain, PTSD, dissociation, and neurodivergence. My practice, ND Friendly Therapy, is dedicated to creating a space where you can feel fully seen, understood, and supported, without the need to mask or fit into society’s expectations.
My Journey
Before I found somatic therapy, I spent years feeling disconnected from myself and my body. I tried everything: doctors, medication, yoga, and sheer willpower.
Yet, nothing seemed to stick. My body kept sending signals—chronic pain, burnout, dissociation—but I didn’t understand what it was trying to tell me. It wasn’t until I found somatic therapy that I realized my body was holding onto trauma and distress.
Through Somatic Experiencing, I was able to put my PTSD into remission and learn how to listen to my body instead of fighting against it.
In 2023, I learned that I’m Autistic, and that realization has helped me understand why trauma therapy resolved some of my symptoms, but didn’t magically make me feel “normal” or like I fit in socially.
It’s not that I wasn’t trying hard enough—it’s that I was trying to force myself into a mold that wasn’t made for me.
Now, I live my life with a deep understanding of my Autism and my ADHD, and I help others do the same.

My Approach to Therapy
In our sessions, you’ll find that I approach therapy with warmth, humor, and curiosity. My work isn’t about giving you a checklist of things to fix—it’s about understanding you and your unique experiences. Together, we’ll explore your body’s responses, your patterns of thought and behavior, and how your past influences your present. Whether you’re dealing with late-diagnosed Autism, ADHD, chronic pain, or trauma, we’ll work together to create strategies for healing and growth.
I see therapy as a collaborative process, where you and I work together to make sense of your experiences. I’m not just here to guide you—I’m here to walk with you on your journey. I’m particularly passionate about working with people who are neurodivergent, as I’ve lived through many of the challenges you may be facing.
